Asha Gupta, Amway
Amway has hired Asha Gupta as its new chief strategy and corporate development officer. Gupta will lead the development of its long-term global business strategy and evaluate opportunities for distributors. She joins Amway after 23 years at Tupperware where she served as executive vice president and chief strategy and marketing officer.
Xia Ding, USANA
USANA Health Sciences Inc. has named Xia Ding to its board of directors. Ding currently serves as vice president of e-commerce Asia Pacific and Latin America for Nike. She has shown leadership in the e-commerce and digital business sector and has served in management roles at a number of global online and omnichannel retailers, including JD.com and Hanesbrands.
Peter J.E. Verdegem, Kannaway
Peter J.E. Verdegem, Ph.D., MSc, MBA, has joined Kannaway as vice president of North America, German-speaking countries and product development. He brings more than two decades of experience in direct selling, including time in executive positions at Amway, LifeVantage, MonaVie and Morinda. He also is co-founder of nutritional company GenLife.
Nicholas Chay, Tupperware
Nicholas Chay has joined Tupperware Brands as APAC digital director. Chay will be responsible for leading and supporting Tupperware’s direct selling and omnichannel strategy implementation in APAC (Asia Pacific). Before Tupperware, he was Facebook’s client partner for financial services for more than three years. Prior to that, Chay worked at Telenor Group.
Lennon Ledbetter, Kannaway
Kannaway, the direct selling subsidiary of Medical Marijuana Inc., has appointed Lennon Ledbetter to vice president of sales. Ledbetter is a direct selling veteran and top achiever who spent 25 years as a sales leader with Amway. He is now a motivational speaker and trainer mentoring others to create successful teams and meaningful professional relationships.
Gorka Buces, Xifra
Gorka Buces has joined Xifra as chief visionary officer. Buces is an entrepreneur and business coach with experience in several direct selling companies, including Grupo Hinode as director of international expansion. He has been a producer of documentaries at National Geographic, a program manager of the Latin Grammy Awards, and a vice president of Tele Miami.
