ASHISH KHAN, AMWAY
Ashish Khan has joined Amway as chief technology and platform officer bringing nearly 30-year career in brand technology and enterprise architecture. He previously worked for the Estee Lauder Companies and Staples. He will focus on the customer shopping experience, digital innovation, technology partners, and data and analytics.
ANDREW ANNOR APO, MYDAILYCHOICE
MyDailyChoice has hired Andrew Annor Apo as vice president of Africa. Apo previously built an organization of 50,000 distributors with Syntek Global. He went on to build Max International to 30,000 distributors and has helped several network marketing companies launch into African markets.
SUSAN VANDEGRIFT, SOLVASA
Susan Vandegrift has joined Solvasa as chief administrative officer. Her 30-year finance career includes time as chief financial officer for Perricone MD, Evolve Biosystems, and Rodan + Fields. She will be in charge of the organizational functions of Solvasa, including legal, human resources, finance and internal IT.
MELVIN C. HALL, LEGALSHIELD
Civil rights attorney and author Melvin C. Hall has joined the LegalShield board of directors. Hall is a shareholding partner and practicing attorney, as well as a public speaker championing employment law and civil rights. Hall serves on a number of boards and is an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma.
CRAIG COLE, TOTAL LIFE CHANGES
Total Life Changes (TLC) has named Craig Cole director of public relations. Previously director of labor relations, Cole will now work on developing relationships with local organizations in communities all over the country starting with the charity Pay It Forward, founded in 2015 to support children.
KATY HOLT-LARSEN, KYÄNI
Kyäni has named Katy Holt-Larsen as president. Holt-Larsen brings more than 25 years of experience, with an emphasis in business strategy, product development, and customer experience. She holds a master’s degree in organizational behavior, enabling her to bridge the needs of the field with those that align with the overall corporate strategy.
CHRISTOPHER CAIRES, SOLVASA
Solvasa has hired Christopher Caires, Ph.D., as president. He brings over 12 years in home and personal care to the role. He will manage the product portfolio strategy and oversee marketing, digital assets, logistics, and supply chain. With a background in chemistry, Caires has served in roles at Perricone MD, BASF, and Johnson & Johnson.
DEBORAH D. MCWHINNEY, LEGALSHIELD
LegalShield has appointed Deborah D. McWhinney to its board of directors. McWhinney serves on corporate boards including IHS Markit and Borg Warner. She has been president of Schwab Institutional and of Citigroup’s Consumer Banking Products and Personal Wealth Management.
RYAN NAPIERSKI, WFDSA
The World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) has appointed Nu Skin President Ryan Napierski as chairman of the Advocacy Committee. Napierski will chair the committee until October 2023. He is also currently in his second year as chair of the U.S. Direct Selling Association and is a member of the WFDSA CEO Council.
EVAN BRENGMAN, TOTAL LIFE CHANGES
Evan Brengman has been promoted to director of fulfillment and logistics at Total Life Changes. Brengman, who started working at the company at 14, printing labels and packing boxes, is now a sophomore at Michigan State University. He also has worked in the accounting, IT and events departments.
TROY MOHR, VASAYO
Vasayo has appointed Troy Mohr as its senior vice president of global operations. Mohr comes to Vasayo with more than 30 years’ experience in operations and manufacturing, most recently at Young Living and MonaVie. He has a diverse background in nutrition, medical and personal care, venture placement, and heavy industry/automotive.

ASEA has promoted Edouard Gug to vice president of Europe. Over the past four years, Gug has grown the European region for ASEA. He brings experience in leadership, cultural differences, and overall understanding of Europe’s business environment. He previously worked at Amway.
DANIEL DORSEY, YOUNGEVITY
Daniel Dorsey has been appointed to YGYI’s board of directors. Dorsey will serve on the Audit Committee. Dorsey is a licensed CPA with over 20 years of experience in finance, strategic planning and operations.

DirectScale has promoted Ashley Brandis to head up the customer care department. She will focus on customer satisfaction by implementing strategies for continual improvement for both the software platform and quick and efficient resolution of customer inquiries.
FORMER DSA CHAIRMAN, ERICK LAINE
Erick Laine, remembered as a charismatic and visionary leader of CUTCO/Vector Marketing Corp., died on Dec. 1, 2020, in Olean, New York. Born in 1933, Laine was inducted into the DSEF Circle of Honor in 1999 and received the DSA Hall of Fame award in 2002.
CO-FOUNDER OF NU SKIN, NEDRA RONEY
Nedra Roney, one of Nu Skin’s co-founders, died at 65 on Oct. 23, 2020. Born on July 5, 1955, she was a philanthropist and natural entrepreneur. While at Brigham Young University, she partnered with her brother, Blake Roney, and friends to form Nu Skin International.
