Jewelry brand Chloe + Isabel has closed its business with July 31 as its last day of operations. The company had completed a restructuring in March 2018 and hired direct selling veterans Doug Hepfer as president and CEO and Marcia Cota as senior vice president of sales to position the company to have a broader appeal to entrepreneurial women. Chloe + Isabel launched more than eight years ago with a unique vetting process for Merchandisers that consisted of an application and interview, but with the restructuring last year, the company removed the extended vetting process and implemented a new compensation plan along with enhanced earning potential for Sales Field Leaders. Despite these efforts, Chloe + Isabel held its close-out sale in July.
