In a notice received Oct. 23 by California’s Employment Development Department, LulaRoe announced it will permanently lay off 167 workers and permanently close its Corona-based warehouse. California requires at least 60 days notice from employers when they intend to lay off workers or else the workers must be paid for that period. The workers’ last day will be five days before Christmas. LulaRoe’s sales reached $2.3 billion in 2017. Since then, the company has been embroiled in numerous lawsuits filed by vendors and former distributors.
