Marc Rey, Beautycounter
Beautycounter has appointed Marc Rey as CEO. Beautycounter Founder Gregg Renfrew will transition to executive chair and chief brand officer. Rey is a former Coty and L’Oréal executive who most recently served as CEO and global chief growth officer for Shiseido Americas. He will now guide Beautycounter as it continues its omnichannel strategy.
Corey Lindley, dōTERRA
dōTERRA has promoted Corey Lindley to CEO. David Stirling, a founding executive and current CEO, is stepping down to serve The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lindley has spent over 30 years in direct selling, including 17 years at Nu Skin. As CEO, he will lead doTERRA’s operations and implement its vision, mission, and strategic direction.

We have learned the power of personalization from our field. We heard very loudly that it helped to have a more personalized approach, around a product or sharing the business model. For example, we spoke to field members who are nurses, to learn they incorporate this into their busy schedule. We then created realistic, personalized assets and shareable opportunities that really help people talk to nurses in their network. This allows them to focus and think, “Hey, who in my network do I know in this area?” We’ve seen pretty big success from that.
We are living during a special moment in time. There are accelerators (COVID-19, the gig economy, a search for principles and values) requiring us to think faster, formulate plans faster, make decisions faster, protect others who are dependent upon us. Therefore, we are required to respond to the needs of the people faster. The future will not replicate the past. Prudent leaders will realize what they do not know, have not studied, and bring teams together who bring forth the best of innovation, vision, ideas, research, facts, and new or old principles and values. Authentic leaders will invent the future…. Authentically.
