JetBlack is WalMart’s new personalized shopping experience aimed at gaining the company a larger share of the growing ecommerce market among a higher-end demographic.
The service learns the members’ preferences and delivers orders, placed by text, the same day. Membership costs $50 per month.
Walmart has recently acquired several popular ecommerce brands such as Bonobos, Modcloth and Moosejaw, further signifying intent to grow in ecommerce. Walmart CEO Doug McMillon reported the company’s ecommerce sector grew over 40 percent in 2017.
