Voice-controlled smart systems, such as Amazon Echo and Google Home are becoming part of the consumer’s shopping experience as the technology continues to becomes more reliable.
Currently, a consumer may perform a voice search for a particular product, add that product to their shopping cart. However, with the product still in infancy, consumers are not yet ready to pull the trigger and purchase items via these devices. Trust issues still remain with the device’s limitations of deep learning algorithms in voice recognition, and centered around being listened in on. Still, these systems are in line to be next milestone in the shopping experience.
