While overall revenue for Target increased 7 percent in Q2, the company’s e-commerce sales during the same period increased 41 percent. Target is leveraging supply chain opportunities and digital technologies with DriveUp, a service that allows customers to order through the Target app, park in a designated spot at the store and have the order brought to them.
The company is also expanding its reach of Target Restock, its next day delivery program for everyday essentials, from personal care items to baby products to cleaning supplies. Customers order online and pay $4.99 to have the items delivered to their door the next day.
