A class action lawsuit has been filed against Donald Trump and his three eldest children by plaintiffs who claim Trump tricked people into investing in American Communications Network (ACN).
The lawsuit alleges Trump made knowingly false statements about the company on “Celebrity Apprentice” where he claimed ACN’s desktop video phone would “literally revolutionize the way we communicate.” The anonymous plaintiffs claim that thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs were ripped off due to endorsements during his time as a paid spokesman for ACN. The Trumps are stating that the comments were opinion-based statements, and argue the lawsuit should be dismissed.
