After developing its own brands, Amazon is now asking consumer-goods companies to produce brands exclusively for the site in an effort to cut costs and save time.
As of January 2019, Amazon now offers 330 exclusive brands sold only through their website, a 150 brand increase in the fourth quarter of 2018 alone. Additionally, Amazon offers 7 new private-label brands, bringing the total to 135, according to the TJI Amazon Brand Database.
